The standard Minecraft textures are 16x16 or 256 pixels of colour per side? of a block. If you don't belive me feel free to open up the Minecraft.jar and check for yourself.

To hopefully (though I know it's pointless to try) end all these discussions on if this is a 1x1 pack or not: For? example, a 32x32 texture pack means that each side of a block (A little different with items, but still the same principle) has 32x32 or 1024 pixels of colour each, not that the Terrain.png itself is 32x32 pixels. Which means that a 1x1 texture pack is textured with one pixel of colour per side.

It still would lag because Minecraft itself causes lags, not the? resolution of Texturepacks with less than 16x
