This is my first realistic fireplace. I did not use any Mods (just the Brown and Bloom Texture Pack). I don't think this idea has been tried before but the results are pretty cool :) Hint at how to build one is in the video.

I have a tutorial video that shows how to build each cactus tower in one easy climb. They are spaced in their own 9x9 grid overlapping in a checkered pattern. Every hour they will fill your entire inventory when placed in this manner.
This spacing yields 1,000 cacti/hour. The towers can be spaced out in many different ways, I chose a 9x9 grid because that is as far as water will go from the corners, and almost all of the falling cactus pieces will land within that square. The design can be scaled out to any proportion you want, fit as many in a massive square as you can or build your towers even higher!
The floating dirt block automatically 'farms' the cactus for you as it grows and collects neatly in the pool beneath. This can be scaled out to massive proportions if you need a lot of cactus quickly. I have other videos that show how to build this step by step very easily\

Had it set to peaceful and was exploring Biomes when I ran across what looked like a fort someone had built into the rock for protection. I saw the spawner inside and then took this video. I've never seen a spawner open up to the outside like this before. I'm assuming it's pretty rare. (It was just a Zombie spawner after all)
Dig out the bottom of the pile of sand or gravel with your torch and quickly (but not too quickly) place a torch at the bottom so the pile falls and digs itself as it lands on the torch.
This elevator was inspired by several like elevators I saw on YouTube and then added to the East side of my tower. Riding the elevator is simply a matter of embarking and disembarking properly, which does take a little practice since framerate lag can result in the boat's disintegration.
