And no, while in basic? you cannot wear contacts, you are issued glasses based on prescription. The reason for this is that it's a very dirty environment, in fact you'll probably be sick the whole time you're there.

Everybody keeps asking me questions that you can find the answers on if you do the proper research. But the answer is simple. No. The laptop won't be searched, they can't legally do that without a legitimate reason to do so. The only reasons I've seen people have? their hard drives taken is due to them being accused of child porn. But the base has a United States Postal Service just like any town. Same rules.

My plan is to go in as? an enlistee, get a few years under my belt..preferably become an NCO first..and if I feel I do a good enough job as an NCO..I could perhaps take advantage of the enlisted-commission programs. Becoming a pilot would be awesome, but I heard the rate that candidates that go through OTS/OCS and receive a pilot slot is really low compared to the military academies and ROTC.

Yes, I know I can go? to OTS/OCS and receive my commission, but the reason why I won't do that is because I just prefer to be the guy who takes the orders, and if I am not mistaking..correct me if I am wrong, but don't most of the enlisted men do most of the hands on stuff? That's what I want to do, and I don't wanna be involved with the politics that the officers go through either.

I could have sworn I answered this in another video. After tech school you? get to go on leave for up to 30 days if you have that much saved up. But you don't need to go and get your stuff. People show up to your house and pack everything up for you and ship it to wherever you're going.
