This particular program is binary by nature. You *can* use a PWM dimming to get good gray scales on the same hardware. See our "Octolively" video for an example-- that's based on the same? hardware as this.

Yes, these work underneath a frosted surface. See, for example our? other video ("Museum Display: Interactive Conway's Game of Life"), which shows a diffusing overlay over the lower right section, to label those areas as control buttons.

I don't really understand how led's work or such, buuut I figured I could aswell ask out of curiosity :P Would there be any way to have those led's light up and such smoothly? I mean, having the brightness go? up and down gradually
