New Vegas has much more to offer in terms of story, factions and? characters. I was glad it was done by Obsidian. The franchise reconnected a bit with it's roots.

I've heard the whole "there should be few people because of the apocalypse that happened 200 years ago, so they had no time to rebuild&reproduce" argument. No.The developers were lazy. New Vegas has more people at freaking outposts.

As for the quest. I have not? done it but I think that you need to tell your companions that it's time for you to part ways instead of just having them wait at the casino. It's alright if you part ways with them, because you can then tell them to wait for you back at the casino. Looking forward to more episodes! :)

i agree with both of you on different points, i agree that fallout 3 brought the series back in a really good way but it wasn't the best game of 2008 it was ONE of the best. i still think that new Vegas, yet really good is not as good as fallout 3, that docent mean its not a good game i just thought it lacked the combat mechanics that made? fallout 3 so seamless and also it was more " clunky " than fallout 3 just my opinion, i hope you consider reading it. :D

fallout 3, on the other hand, has? the number because it is another generation. As a true fallout fan, it didn't gel with me until I started playing other modern console games such as i am alive, uncharted, and infamous... made me think fallout 3 with all the add ons, that is, is pretty worthy, as you rightly said.

True, should give it more credit I guess :-) I did enjoy Fallout 3 for the most part. And I totally agree, Vegas and it's DLC's was awesome. As for TES, I only got Oblivion but enjoyed it a lot mainly due to mods as with Skyrim :-) I really would like more story and content, when looking back? any game we look fondly upon actually had less the modern games but somehow managed to do more. (that's magic :) )

okay, you obviously didn't conncentrate much on the dialogue in the quest. they don't survive from it, they choose to do it for spiritual reasons. i personally prefer fallout 3 because it? really created that atmosphere of desolation and loneliness. the general colours of it are gloomier...but seeing as i played fallout 3 before knowing of the others, my opinion is naturally going to be different,

That being said I don't hate fo3. Rivet City, Liberty Prime, Galaxy News Radio (music and Three Dog) the weapon and armor designs are cool.The repetitiveness of the Vault-sequence, the weak ending, the half-assed story, the genericness of the NPCs and some lame ideas make it impossible for me to enjoy it as a decent Fallout sequel. New Vegas has much more to offer in terms of story, factions and? characters. I was glad it was done by Obsidian. The franchise reconnected a bit with it's roots.

Yeah, but human beings surviving by drinking only blood is still a dumb idea. Bethesda had some fun stuff in Fallout 3 but I just didn't feel the? atmosphere of the series. The voice acting of most NPCs are flat, and the "towns" with 2or5 people are just simply lazy. I've heard the whole "there should be few people because of the apocalypse that happened 200 years ago, so they had no time to rebuild&reproduce" argument. No.The developers were lazy. New Vegas has more people at freaking outposts.

you may have a point in saying fallout 3 is not canonical but? to say it's more an arcade than rpg...that doesn't work. fallout 3/new vegas and tes are the only game series of today i could actually consider rpgs...the rest are just games set in fantasy worlds and thus, for some reason, are called rpgs...

you can change the difficulty and the vampires, if you've played the quest, you'll know aren't "real" vampires but very much like? the romance-blinded cults that exists today and would certainly exist after an apocalypse.

I absolutely love the first two games, Fallout 3 is a good game, but a bad Fallout game. It's rarely as immerse and challenging as 1&2. In those games I was actually afraid of running into Mutants/Enclave patrols, because they were a bitch to fight, but the victory was far more rewarding than a slow-mo gore explosion after you assassinate the toughest enemies of a game with 3 pistol shots.Also post-apocalyptic vampires? Really? I can understand why people like fo3,? but it's just not for me.
