Zelf wil ik ook overstappen op olieverf omdat gradaties/blenden met acryl me gewoon niet naar tevredenheid lukt. Was vandaag in de shop en zag? daar olieverf of waterbasis Artisan (Winsor en Newton) of H2Oil (Talens).
De verkoper zei dat 't resultaat hetzelfde is. Denk je dat stillevens hiermee ook lukken? Tis natuurlijk wel veel milieuvriendelijker;)

The latter should be such that? it allows to move paint around (ie not too soft) and it shouldn't pick up too much paint (ie density of hairs not too large)

So? now I use 3 of 5000 and one of 3500K The 2 colors also give interesting shifts in color, especially in white surfaces. one trick for color ... By: josvanr. on 14 May 12, 10:50:25 one trick for color is to hold your palette knife between your eye and your subject while you are mixing, to check if the color is right. To practise mixing colors I also used to try and mix an isolated patch of color in a photograph. I put a transparent plastick on the photograph so I could apply the color directly to it, to see if it is right and the wipe away again. This is just a dry exercise? in color mixing,but very u.seful.

It all depends on the light in your subject and what is reflected in the mirror. Painting a mirror is no different? from painting anything else. But you have to see to it that you accurately record in paint what you see in your subject. I can strongly advise you to look up how a 'full spectrum' palette and color mixing work, and you can paint anyting you want!

There are some nice books by Helen van Wyk about this subject. You need to understand how the color circle and color mixing works. Its not so much about which specific pigments to use, more about seeing color and color relationships, so you can adapt them to match what you see. In the cup I think I used titanium white, transparent oxide red and ultramarine blue, maybe? some yellow...

As for the comment they made about robotech, FASA did directly copy a number of mechs? to identical detail from robotech, though alot of these mechs have been discountinued or had there model's drasticly altered.
