There is skill behind using a drum machine just as there is skill behind actual drumming. It may not require as much physical effort but it requires an understanding of rhythm and creativity.
Really, though, I'm not saying? live drumming wouldn't be fantastic for these guys, it's just that I don't find it completely necessary in this case. Who knows, maybe he'll start playing em live some day!

Yeah...Nick has said that this album is a modern take on Motown music, so you're pretty dead on there. However, I think Deathjoker is saying that he normally listens to folk metal...like Finntroll and the like. That's one great thing about the Islands...the music they make appeals to music? lovers of all kinds.
