the aes did not have region locks on it so you can plug in the games from either country into it but when using a japanese model the text is only in japanese which isn't to bad
buying a? japanese unit will save you arond 400 to 700 dollars on the system (prices change depending on the markets)

I actually tried the SLG 3000 on here but I wasn't 100% pleased with the output. the SLG 3000 outputs at 640x480 or 800x600 but these 15" monitors both have native resolutions of 1024x768 so the monitors interpolate the picture (including scan lines). so every 3rd or 4th line it doulbes the size and when you have the slg3000 connected there is a blank line. this would result in? strange horizontal banding every few lines.

On a related note,My CGA-VGA encoder has dual VGA outputs so one went directly to the monitor on cab? 1 and the other went over the DB25 to the second cab. Even though there are 15 pins on a VGA connector you only really need 6 wires to push the signal. The DWG file on that website only shows the physical dimensions of the cab. Sorry I don't have any wiring schematics!

So on the original cabinet, do I solder wires from each respective pin on the other DB25 to my input source? ( In my case an Ipac2 keyboard encoder)

I wanted to build a similar two player cabinet setup but instead of side to side, I wanted to build ONE cabinet that had back-to-back monitors, so that players are playing head to head. I was assuming I could use one I Pac2, and wire both control panels to it, but this build seems much "cleaner" inside and much? more mobile. I was using a comp internal not an og rom.

i think the best thing you can do if you want a neo geo system is to buy a japanese neo geo aes, its your cheapest option, all you need to do is buy a converter for its power cord the aes did not have region locks on it so you can plug in the games from either country into it but when using a japanese model the text is only in japanese which isn't to bad buying a? japanese unit will save you arond 400 to 700 dollars on the system (prices change depending on the markets)

I remember playing again and again all the fatal fury videogames ... from? the famous "king of fighters 90" up to Garou Mark of The wolves... The action, the colours and the FX's made them more appealing to me than Capcom fighting games...
