Die gewalzte 15m lange Spundbohle mit der Bezeichnung L604 von HSP wird mit einer vibrierenden Rammhaube, die an einem Baggerarm befestigt ist, in den Erdboden gerammt. Die einzelnen Spundbohlen werden wie Kettenglieder mit ihren "Schlössern" aneinander gesetzt (auch mit Schlossdichtung herstellbar). So entsteht eine Spundwand (zB für den Hochwasserschutz).
